Dual Control Scissors

These dual-control learning scissors have been designed to help children who:

• Have poor hand-eye coordination
• Do not have sufficient strength to perform the cutting motion
• Suffer from tremors and are unable to position the scissors at a specific starting point
• Have difficulty distinguishing the foreground from the background.

They are also ideal for use in early years education settings, to teach the opening and closing movement of the scissors.

The child uses the handles furthest from the blade, whilst the adult places their fingers over the child’s hand and through the handles closest to the blade to assist with positioning, guidance and strength.
