Enlarged Text

People with low vision face great difficulties in their daily lives because they are unable to read texts in the usual font sizes. Although there are assistive products that enlarge images (see our section on magnifying glasses and telemagnifiers), not everyone has access to or is able to use these aids. The solution is to produce content in larger font sizes, a technique often used in special education.

eBooks

An eBook, or electronic book, is a digital book that can be read in an eBook reader program. The most popular eBook format is ePub.

Compared to other formats, such as PDF, ePub has the advantage of adapting the text of the book to the reader’s screen. This makes reading much more natural and eliminates the need to move the screen sideways. ePub readers also allow you to change the font size and screen color, making reading much more comfortable.
